Really cool to see some of the images it found! Work on Hotmail though (its currently not supported) and I would use it again.
This App does what it says. Give it access to your email account and it will dig up pictures that were seemingly lost to antiquity. Its worth upgrading to the paid version.
It works well with Gmail, but not so much with older Hotmail accounts. It is well worth purchasing the upgrade.
Most useful app on my computer With 13gb + in my gmail account having this was wonderful. Found pictures that would have been lost in my gmail forever - it found it all. Thank you!
Works well, saves days of time if you had to manually extract the images.
Hi, this looks like it would be good, but I’m disappointed that this app requires my email password to go online and scan my images online. I would prefer that this app be able to go and look at my mail that is already downloaded onto my Mac with Apple Mail and scan there rather than giving a third party software the “keys” to my email addresses. Looks like I’ll have to look elsewhere for a solution. Add this ability and I’ll definetly look at it again, but for now, it’s going into the trash.
вопрос в том, что сливается логин/пароль своей почты сторонним дядям. хотя они клянутся и божатся, что к ним на сервера ничего не сливается , в отличие от Хрома и Файрфокса: we also use a secure SSL connection. Using the app is just as secure as signing into your email using chrome or firefox. But in one sense its more secure—we dont collect any of your data at all—not your username and password, not data about your usage of the app, not any of your photos. We recognize that its a big deal to put in your username and password and people ought to be careful. а поди, проверь. сегодня не сливают, а завтра передумают.
Good idea and good implementation. Sometimes its really useful to find photos
I tried everything they wrote on their help section, still not working. It just cant seem to access my gmail account. Probably something to do with international accounts? Please fix this, Ive paid.
I was able to retrieve all my old pictures that i even didnt know they existed. Kudos, to the programmers
works like a charm , so good , will use it forever xD it really recovered some old photos, hope to see more updates soon
Disappointing. Couldn’t get past email address / password. Support page doesn’t work either. Just tried Windows version, didn’t work. Umm, maybe it’s me. lol
Great App! Did the trick and downloaded a few thousand photos from my Gmail (no wonder I nearly have 14GB used) For the current version of this App, it will not log into Gmail if it has “Access for Less Secure Apps” set to OFF (which is the default). To get the current version of Lost Photos Version 2.0 (2274) to work with Gmail: - Click on the Settings Icon (cog) on the top right. - Select Settings. - Select the "Accounts and Import” tab. - Select “Other Google Account Settings” under Change Account Settings. - Select “Connected Apps & Sites” under Sign In & Security. - Scroll to the bottom and toggle “Allow Less Secure Apps” to ON & leave that web page open while you scan. - Run Lost Photos App for Gmail. - Go make a sandwich. - Once completed, go back to that web page and toggle it back to OFF. - Browse the ludicrous amount of photos you forgot you even had. Hopefully they will update the app to be more secure soon so we won’t have to do this every time we want to run the app. But since I don’t need to run this app very often, its not a huge deal to take the steps to disable the security for an hour while the app runs.
Great app!! I need this app to find my old pictures that I thought I lost them all. I love to see the old memories with my family and friends. Thank you!!
Lost Photos retrieved photos that I forgot that I even taken. Photos of my three year old dog from three years ago, so pictures of him as a puppy where among some of the photos found. Signing into the site was simple; no forms to fill out or captchas to puzzle over were required. The upload started instantly without any extra steps to slow the process down. Barely a few minutes later, the upload stopped because it had found over the hundred pictures allowed without an upgrade. The simplicity of the app made finding the puppy photos even sweeter. The photos went right to a folder on my computer. It was simple to pick out the photos to save while deleting the photos that you do not want to remain on your system. Now my sweet puppy photos are safe again and if I had more pictures to find, Lost Photos would be worth every penny to find them all. I do wish that the developers of Lost Photos would fix the Facebook upload function because I would have loved to share the joy of rediscovering those sweet memories.
I used this app to find my old photos on a hotmail account I had more years and didn’t have the bandwith to clean up myself. The app quickly found the photos (there is a feature on the app to exclude photos of a small size so that it didn’t capture unwanted images from the years and years of junk mail in my account) and I used the export feature to save them to my computer. Great app!
To be completely honest, I wasnt sure what to expect when I first decided to try this app. I felt it was too good to be true but boy am I completely mistaken. Coming from someone whos had a lot of emails over the years, I found many hidden gems. Heck the ability to instantly save them once again was incredibly helpful, I must say this is an app I would highly recommend to anyone!
I use email everyday and sometimes i forget some pictures. But when i have Lost Photos in my Mac, i can find out my pictures buried deep in my email. II think the memories of me is back again. I find out 100 pictures, its a long time ago when i was young. Im very happy for this so i shared old pictures to my friends. Now i dont worry if i forget any picture in my email account. Thanks so much.
All the app does is show a pop up message to upgrade so you can see all of your photos. I already paid for the upgrade, but it for some reason does not register that I’ve upgraded so it wont continue the search. Wasted $5. Buy at your own risk.
